The A-frame is designed to provide coverage for boats that do not have pulpit and push pit. The telescopic A-legs, which stand on the ground, support the frame and tarpaulin. On the boat, telescopic legs are positioned on the deck to hold up the frame in the middle. The frame is 9 meters long. This design provides the tarpaulin with a good slope, allowing snow and rain to slide off easily, while also being strong enough to withstand strong winds.

Details

A-frame in aluminum 9 meters (30 ft). Suitable for boats that lack pulpit and push pit. The frame stands firmly with a leg pair on the ground and a couple in the stern. Telescopic legs are placed against the railing, other suitable location on deck or in the cockpit. Fits both power and sailboats. Available in 8 different lengths.

Choose a frame that is about as long as the boat. The top tube is assembled with NOA's joint lock. The T-connection for the aluminum pipes is stronger compared to others you find online. Each package of cover stands includes an Allen key / hex key 8 mm. The deck frame for a sailboat can easily be supplemented into an outlaying frame.

NOAs T-connection are designed for aluminum pipes and stronger compared to others finding online. Fits pipes / tubes with diameter Ø35 mm. The T-connection also has a locking spike so that pipes will not slip out when mounting. The T-connection is 35 mm deep and the freight thickness (cast aluminum) is large. Other T-connections (look similar) but with shallower attachment are made for steel pipes and will not hold for aluminum pipes. A shallower attachment (20 - 25 mm) makes a big difference in strength. The locking screw (hex bolt M10) is made of stainless steel A4 quality. When the screw is tightened, it is recessed for minimal scraps against the tarpaulin. The quality is in the details.

The frames telescopic legs make it easy to adjust height and width for different types of boat. You can adjust the angle you want on the “roof”. The NOA-fittings / brackets sit with plastic sleeve, to get the best possible grip but also to avoid galvanic currents against a stainless-steel pulpit. The NOA bracket is mounted with a carriage bolt with soft curved head and wing nut. Turn the wing nut inward to not to scratch the tarpaulin. The screw is made of stainless-steel A4 quality.

All aluminum details are "tumbled" to get gentle corners. A sharp corner is a possible source for chafe against a tarpaulin. NOA's cover frame are made with precision for long durability and withstand hard winds. NOA has over 30 years of experience in aluminum production and coverage of boats.

The winter cover / winterize the boat with a good tarpaulin and deck frame to support the tarpaulin is important as snow and ice can otherwise do great damage. A deck frame in aluminum can easily be packaged and stored in the summer. So much more convenient than a wooden or steel cover frame. The aluminum also makes the frame light but strong. We recommend building the deck frame at home for the first time. Installation then becomes much simpler and smoother.
